Something About Us

In 1977, T. Kevin Murtha was a principal at Murtha, Gainza& Associates, Inc. a Financial Consulting firm that operated through contracts with the U.S. Department of Commerce. Kevin counseled businesses in the areas of taxation and finance and assisted companies in obtaining government contracts and loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration. With offices in Manhattan and Queens, Kevin worked with every type of business entity. In addition to obtaining contracts and capital; Kevin and his staff performed budget analysis, tax planning, business planning and certification for women and minority owned businesses (WMBE Certification). Kevin also worked closely with federal, state and local government leaders in an effort to further the interests of businesses and Not-for-Profit Corporations.

In 1984, Kevin opened his law practice while concurrently operating his consulting firm. Using his extensive background in Finance and Business Administration, Kevin began handling matrimonial matters involving businesses as marital property and tax cases which later developed into white collar criminal defense work.
